The day started out a big dreary. We planned an excursion to Passion Island, but the rain and lack of sun really wasn't ideal. We made the best of it though.
We took a speed boat ride on Twister to Passion Island. We were strapped into our seats and the driver would turn the wheel as fast as he could and we would spin out. It was really fun and scary at the same time. I still can't imagine how it could possibly be safe. Watch this video to get an idea of what it was like.
After the crazy boat ride we arrived at Passion Island. It was beautiful.
Once the rain cleared up a bit we walked the beach some more and swam in the ocean.
There were several iguanas and vultures on the island.
Then we hung out in the hammocks for a little longer and had our picture taken between the palm trees used in the Corona commercials.
The sun finally came out in full force once we made it back to the cruise ship. Perfect timing right?
Once back on board we found another cute little towel guy in our room. He was by far my favorite.
This is pretty much the end of our cruise adventure! Our next day was spent at sea heading back to Florida. We checked out a parade, some food demonstrations, watched a dodgeball tournament, swam in the pool, and did a little shopping. It was nice to have a relaxing day at sea.
Overall the cruise was fantastic. I'd highly recommend you go on one if you haven't. The food was delicious and there were lots of things on and off the boat to keep us entertained. If we didn't want to partake in any activities, lounging by the pool or taking a nap was always a good option too.
Hopefully we'll get to go on a cruise again. I'm thinking somewhere in Europe or Alaska next time!
